Jeff Budden
Owner & Principal Finance Broker
Jeff Budden, owner and principal broker at Interstate Finance & Leasing has over 32 years of experience in the finance industry. Jeff prides himself on getting the best finance deal possible for all of his clients.
Whether he is helping his business and rural customers grow and thrive, with business loan solutions or new plant and equipment finance, or assisting personal customers with finance for their first home or their 10th, Jeff loves helping people find the best finance deal.
One of the best things about working with Jeff as a finance broker is that he is working for you, the client, not the banks. That’s the big difference between the team at Intestate Finance and Leasing and the normal ‘Bank Manager’.
Outside of work you’ll find Jeff spending time with Cath and his family (Jack, Dane and Ben), enjoying time at home in Toowoomba, at King’s Beach on the Sunshine Coast or exploring Australia on a holiday. Jeff is also partial to a round of golf and a hit of tennis when he can fit them into his schedule.
David Pickstone
Finance Broker
David Pickstone has run the Emerald office since 2017. Dave brings a wealth of knowledge to the team, with over 20 years in the finance industry, including 15 years at Rabobank (banking and insurance) along with grain trading experience.
Driven by being able to assist his clients to meet their business goals and help them to grow their businesses with suitable finance solutions, David’s rural connections assist him in finding the right finance solutions for his clients.
David specialises in rural and agribusiness finance and is always working with his clients to find the best commercial and equipment finance to suit their individual circumstances.
Outside work you might see him going to the beach, enjoying a camping adventure or having a punt on the horses.

Shannon Liddy has been a Finance Broking Assistant at Interstate Finance and Leasing since 2011 and has become an essential part of our team.
Shannon loves her job because she gets to help clients get the finance they need to achieve their goals. Over the years, she has spent most of her time assisting with asset finance deals, but she has recently been learning about the home loan process and has enjoyed this aspect of the business as well.
